In last week’s newsletter, we explored how to rewrite limiting beliefs around a specific desire and align your self-concept to naturally become that person. Today, we’re diving into how to shift limiting beliefs when they show up, using something called a Mental Diet. By the end of this, you’ll know how to use trigger points, like negative emotions, to uncover, rewrite, and stay aligned with your desired self-concept. "The food you furnish your mind determines the character of your life." - Emmet Fox In order to maintain a healthy physique, you make sure to exercise regularly, but you also focus on a balanced diet. You choose foods that nourish your body, help you maintain a healthy weight, and support your overall well-being. Some might think: "Oh, hell no! I work out so I can slaughter my pizza and hamburgers. I'm all about living to eat, not eating to live." and that is fine. But let’s be real, most people can’t just hit the gym and expect it to cancel out a pizza. Staying in shape usually means balancing those workouts with a solid, nourishing diet too. The same goes for your mind. More than ever, we're today consuming information and input from all kinds of different sources:
Most people are not aware on how the input they receive are affecting their lives, and how it has since a young age. Imagine a sponge soaking up everything around it. Your mind works the same way, absorbing beliefs, fears, and ideas from the environment you're exposed to daily. If you aren't conscious of your thinking, you are walking around in autopilot. Your mind is like a computer. What you see on the screen is simply the output of the programs running in the background, shaped by your beliefs, habits, and the information you've been exposed to over time. Until you become conscious of this program, running in the background, your life will be determined by a program you didn't choose, shaped over the years. Last week, we went through all the reasons why a specific desire felt hard to achieve. Writing down the limiting beliefs around it helped bring them to the surface. But in my own experience, and I know that the same applies for many of you, it's hard to actually know your limiting beliefs for a desire. You might be able to come up with a few (or several, since we're all different), but diving deep into our subconscious is often blocked by layers of conditioning, defense mechanisms, and deeply rooted habits. What does it mean?
So how do you make the unconscious, conscious? One of my favourite ways to uncover hidden or deeper beliefs is to pay attention to emotional triggers in my day-to-day life. These moments often reveal limiting beliefs that I couldn't recognize during an initial reflection. By observing how you feel and react throughout the day, you can gain even more insights into the beliefs that may need rewriting. We’ll break this down even further later, along with how you can start applying it today. The Trap of Unconscious PatternsFor years, I was reacting, not acting. My life was running on autopilot, every decision, reaction, and step shaped by unconscious programming. This is how most people live. Drifting through life, unaware of why they do, say, or feel certain ways. If you're reading this, there's a chance invisible patterns are silently controlling your future, without you even realizing it. Repeating affirmations without deeper work is like lifting weights without a consistent plan, some progress, but limited transformation. Or like hitting the gas pedal in 6th gear with the brakes still on. You're affirming every day, but unconscious beliefs are holding you back. To make a real shift, you need a consistent system that works with your mind, not against it. Until you shed light on the hidden parts of yourself, your life will continue to be directed by beliefs and patterns you didn’t choose, shaped by years of conditioning, not intention. Staying on autopilot means repeating the same patterns, feeling disconnected from your purpose, and wondering why life feels like it's just passing you by. The problem?
What if there was a simple way to uncover unconscious patterns and rewrite beliefs, without needing to invest hours every day? Imagine investing minimal effort but getting the maximum transformation out of it. This is what I'm here to teach you. Stick with me, and together we’ll unlock this. How to Rewire Your Mind and Transform Your RealityThere are two things we will go through in the upcoming sections: mental diet and emotional triggers. The mental diet is there to make sure you clean up years of outdated data that you've stored in your subconscious mind, making sure you take inventory every day, for a certain period of time. It's our accountability partner, making sure we show up everyday, do the work and stay persistent over time. The reason why is because most people fail before they even get started. They affirm for a couple of days, and when there's no result, they tell themselves its not working. You are not here to do that. You are here to transform, and I will help you to truly make it. The emotional triggers are your gateway into your unconscious parts of your mind, the parts that you can't access consciously. It's not an easy task bypass our conscious guard, into our subconscious mind. But with the right technique, that I've used for many years, we can learn to read the signs and make the change. I've used the combination of these two concepts for the past years and the results has been life changing:
All by using some simple techniques and make sure to show up everyday for a longer period of time. The result might not show up immediately, but it's the small daily inventory and action that will determine where you are in 6 months. Imagine being a totally different person, aligned with your desires and goals in life, not living on autopilot but in flow. Thats you in the upcoming months. But, what is a mental diet and why is it so powerful ? Mental Diet: something somethingMy teacher Jim Rohn taught me a simple principle: every day, stand guard at the door of your mind, and you alone decide what thoughts and beliefs you let into your life. For they will shape whether you feel rich or poor, cursed or blessed.” ― Tony Robbins A mental diet might sound difficult, much like a food diet where you restrict yourself from eating certain types of food, count calories or starve yourself. But don't worry, we won't count any calories. The reason for a mental diet is as mentioned above, to clean up the mess you've unconsciously stored in your subconscious mind, making sure you take inventory every day, for a certain period of time. You'll break the habit of thinking limiting, negative thoughts from past conditioning and replace it with a new better habit. Imagine this: for 60 days, you commit to showing up every single day for your mind. You take control of your thoughts, rewrite limiting beliefs, and affirm the version of yourself that already has what you desire. This isn’t some random practice, it’s a roadmap. A system that helps you:
The best part? You don’t need to guard your thoughts 24/7. You only need to take action when resistance shows up. Feeling doubt? Affirm. Feeling hesitation? Affirm. Feeling fear? Affirm. This is the same system I’ve used to rewrite old patterns, create the life I want, and finally align with my desires. It’s simple but requires consistency. Over time, you’ll notice a shift, not just within yourself, but in your external reality: Inspired action will guide you toward your goals.
The right people will show up.
Solutions will appear without you even looking for them.
All you need to do is decide what you want, clear your mental hard drive, and persist. Then, let the flow take over. That’s it. In last week’s newsletter, we worked on uncovering limiting beliefs around a specific desire. While it’s possible to identify a few through reflection, many of these beliefs are buried deep in the subconscious. To access them, you need to bypass the mental guard we talked about earlier. Triggers: The gateway to hidden beliefs“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”― Carl Gustav Jung
The world is a mirror. Whatever you hold internally is reflected externally. As within, so without. People, circumstances, and situations reflect your current beliefs and self-concept (how you see yourself, including your abilities, worth, and identity). What you react to in the world reveals what you’re holding onto inside. 1) Example: The Job ApplicationLet’s say you’re talking to someone, and they say: “I tried applying for a new job, but it’s impossible nowadays. The economy is bad, and no one is hiring.” You feel fear and hesitation. Just last week, you created a goal to get a new job and even listed out your limiting beliefs about it. Yet, during this conversation, fear came up. What happened? The fear was triggered by a belief you still hold within. This belief manifested externally through this conversation. "Circumstances don't make the man, they only reveal him to himself." - Epictetus It doesn’t matter what the world or others say. What matters is your reaction to it. If a situation triggers a negative emotion, it’s a signal to pause, investigate, and understand where it’s coming from. 2) Example: Higher SalaryHere’s another example: You set the intention to earn a higher salary at work because it feels right to you. You write it down and go through the limiting beliefs using the template we created last week. One day, you’re at the store buying groceries, and when it’s time to pay, you feel fear and doubt creeping in. Even though you’ve rewritten your beliefs about money and embraced the state of earning a higher salary, those feelings still surface. This signals that you’re holding onto a belief you haven’t fully released yet. Maybe as a child, you saw your mother struggle to pay for groceries, and that memory stayed with you. But that’s a past fact, not your present reality. Do you see the pattern here? To help you understand further, let’s go through one final example. 3) Example: The Specific PersonThere’s this specific person you have a crush on. You feel it deeply, from your toes to your heart. Your desire might sound like this: "I have a loving relationship with X, and they love me more than life." You’ve written down all your beliefs about love, relationships, and the reasons why you think you can’t have this person. Weeks later, you see this person in real life. Despite keeping a steady mental diet and affirming daily for weeks, negative emotions and thoughts still surfaces: "X is too good-looking for me."
"I don’t deserve X."
"Why would X choose me when there are so many better options out there?"
Suddenly, you’re overwhelmed with emotions, fear, hesitation, resistance, even anger. The thoughts attack you from every angle, and it feels like all the belief-rewriting work you’ve done wasn’t enough. Then, the ultimate limiting belief appears: "Manifestation isn’t for me." This is where most people give up. But if you’ve made it this far, don’t worry, you’re on the edge of a breakthrough. The 60-Day Mental Diet: Rewire Your Mind, Transform Your RealityYears ago, I worked for a company that helped yoga teachers transition their studios from physical spaces to online platforms. We guided them in creating high-ticket online courses tailored to their specific yoga niches. My role was to handle client inquiries, resolve challenges, and ensure a smooth experience during this major shift. But many of these teachers, after signing up for the program, would return asking for refunds or trying to quit. It was challenging to convince them to stay, especially since they had signed non-cancelable contracts. Over time, I noticed a pattern. Whenever clients made the bold leap from running a local yoga studio to launching a high-ticket online program, they were stepping far outside their comfort zones, embracing a new and unfamiliar way of sharing their expertise. The significant investment they made, combined with stepping into the unknown, often triggered deeply hidden beliefs stored in their subconscious minds. And these beliefs began to manifest externally, in events like:
It was as if signing up for the program sent an open invitation to Murphy’s Law to show up at their door. During that time, I realized something profound: Whenever we step out of our comfort zones, we activate deeply buried beliefs in our subconscious minds. Stepping into the unknown doesn’t just challenge us, it awakens everything hidden beneath the surface. You’ll likely encounter something similar. But remember, we’re all running on different programs. Some of us carry more limiting beliefs than others, and some have already worked through many of theirs. You might be able to sit down, reflect, and write out all the limiting beliefs around your desire in one go. But for most, deeper, hidden layers will continue to surface along the way. This is why you’ll commit to 60 days, starting the moment you write down your desires and the beliefs tied to them. Let’s break it down into three simple steps. 1) First step: The initiationIf you grabbed last week’s template, you might already be familiar with the process we’re about to use. If not, you can get the new updated version here: The Reality Shift Framework. Go through each step carefully, without rushing. Inside it, I’ve also prepared some instruction videos to guide you, and if you have any questions, feel free to DM me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/evolvee33. If you’re new to this, start with just one desire until you grasp the concept. Once you’re comfortable, you can repeat the process for multiple desires. In the template, you’ll write down your desire and list every reason why you believe it’s not possible. Revisit it as often as needed, more limiting beliefs might surface during quiet moments. Be patient and let the clarity unfold naturally. Once you’ve captured and rewritten those beliefs, you’ll sort them alongside your desire. This is your starting point: Desire + Rewritten Beliefs. When you’re ready, start the 60-day challenge. Use a habit tracker, whether it’s on your phone, pen and paper, or the tracker included in the template, to stay accountable. As you step out of your comfort zone, remember: hidden beliefs will likely surface along the way. When this happens, don’t worry. Stay aware of your internal dialogue, thoughts, and feelings. If you find yourself slipping back into old patterns or limiting thoughts, bring up your affirmations. Listen to them or repeat them in your mind. With practice, these affirmations will begin forming new patterns in your mind, eventually becoming your natural state of being. This is why persistence and consistency are key. Live in this fulfilled state every day, as if it’s already a present fact. Want more money? Walk, think, act, and feel like someone who already has it. Desire a specific partner? Ask yourself how you’d feel if it were true. Feel the love now. Embrace your rewritten beliefs as present facts. Dream of traveling the world? Start researching destinations. Repeat your affirmations and visualize every day. Never let the 3D world dictate what’s true or possible. "Disregard appearances, conditions, in fact all evidence of your senses that deny the fulfillment of your desire. Rest in the assumption that you are already what you want to be, for in that determined assumption you and your Infinite Being are merged in creative unity, and with your Infinite Being all things are possible."— Neville Goddard During these 60 days, go all in. Don’t let anyone, or the world, tell you what you can or can’t have. Create a beautiful, safe space within, free from outside noise. When you encounter an emotional trigger (as discussed earlier), capture and rewrite it immediately. This is where the next step comes in: capturing your limiting beliefs quickly, easily, and safely. The Kortex Capture feature is perfect for this, almost like it was made for it. 2) Second step: Capture Triggers inside KortexThe Kortex Capture feature allows you to quickly jot down ideas, thoughts, or anything else in seconds. It works like a personal note-to-self or chat window. You can tag any captured text to a specific document, and when you access that document, you’ll see all related captures in one place. You can also use hashtags to organize your notes, making them easier to find later, like tagging a thought with #limiting belief. As of January 19, 2025, Kortex Capture now includes a voice note tool. You can record your thoughts as audio, and they’ll automatically be saved as both text and voice notes. This feature will be your go-to tool in the coming months. You can rewrite triggers immediately when they show up or save them for later in the day. I recommend setting a habit of reviewing your daily triggers each evening, rewriting any limiting beliefs, and reinforcing new ones. Here’s how you can do it. 3) Third step: Rewrite TriggersPicture this: you’re walking through the mall and spot a beautiful shirt you want to buy. Then a thought pops into your head: "I can’t afford this because I need to save money for next month." This is the moment to use the Capture feature. Write it down, rewrite it immediately if you can, or save it for later in the day. At the end of the day, review your triggers in the template and rewrite them. Store all your rewritten beliefs alongside the others in the document. As part of your mental diet, affirm these beliefs daily to reinforce your desired state. Over time, you’ll notice these beliefs will either lose their grip on you or disappear entirely. In their place, transformation will take root, both within and in your external reality. There are no strict rules here, play with the process in a way that feels right for you. Personally, I like to capture triggers as soon as they show up. That’s where the Capture feature becomes my go-to tool. It lets me quickly write down the thought without worrying about forgetting it. If I have the time, I rewrite the belief immediately in my template and add it to my list of rewritten beliefs. But if I’m busy, out and about or not near my computer, I save it for the end of the day. At the end of each day, I review any triggers I captured, rewrite the limiting beliefs, and add them to my list. Sometimes, I’ll take a few moments to repeat the new affirmation, either silently or out loud, just to realign myself. Other times, if I notice a trigger in the moment, I’ll affirm the opposite thought right then and there. The key is flexibility. This process isn’t set in stone, it’s a guideline to help you shift your state from lack to fulfillment. Some days, you might stay in your desired state effortlessly, without falling off track, and that’s great! Other days, triggers might show up, especially in the beginning when you’re adjusting to living from your desire. The point is to stay aware of your mind throughout the day. You don’t need to affirm every morning or every evening, it’s more about catching yourself when you drift, rewriting the story in your mind, and living from the reality you’ve chosen. Whether you’re using self-talk, affirmations, or simply reminding yourself of your rewritten beliefs, the goal is the same: To live from the end. So, if doubts creep in or limiting beliefs resurface, just pause, reset, and affirm the truth of your desire as if it’s already yours. This is the essence of the Mental Diet:
It's all about being persistent. Over time, you’ll notice a shift, not just within yourself but in your external reality too. So keep showing up, stay consistent, and trust the process. Your transformation is already happening. That was all for today. See you in the next newsletter, where we’ll dive into the power of Gratitude. – Tomas |
