If you always focus on what you don't have, you are automatically attracting more lack into your life.
“I want” subconsciously equals “I don’t have.” Your state of consciousness is rooted in lack rather than abundance. The message you send to your subconscious mind is that you’re missing something. Think about it for a second. When you say something like, “I wish I had that car,” what signals are you sending out? What is the feeling behind that statement? You WISH you had it. You feel a sense of lack, because it's not yours at this moment. The frequency you are tuned into is one of “not having.” Like a magnet, you attract and manifest similar circumstances, situations that confirm this state of not having what you want. In the two latest newsletter:
we’ve explored transforming beliefs around your desires, uncovering hidden limiting beliefs, and staying consistent with inner work for lasting change and transformation. This week, we’ll dive into gratitude, a powerful key to amplifying affirmations and transforming your mindset for greater results. Stuck in the Cycle of LackYou wake up every day, scrolling through Instagram, seeing others with the life you wish you had. Each "I wish that was me" thought deepens your sense of hopelessness. You think, “I wish I had that,” or “I wish that was me.” But deep down, you know wishing alone won’t give you what you want. It only makes you feel worse. You’ve started your day in the worst way possible, focused on lack. Thoughts of lack manifest as limitation. Thoughts of abundance manifest as success and happiness. Failure and success are but two ends of the same stick. - Ernest Holmes A state of lack doesn’t just limit you, it feels bad. Scrolling through social media, wishing for a life you don’t have, keeps you stuck in emptiness. This doesn't just affect your mood. It impacts your relationships, your focus at work, and even your ability to believe in yourself. It’s a cycle that keeps you trapped. Instead of starting your day with abundance and appreciation, you wake up feeling hopeless. When you focus on what’s missing, you disconnect from the present and feel incomplete. Most people live their lives this way, but it doesn’t have to be your reality. I’m here to help you shift your habits into a more abundant, grateful mindset. Right now, if you have eyes to read this, a phone in your hand, and a roof over your head, you’re already rich. Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance - Eckhart At this point, you should understand that gratitude is the gateway to shifting your state from lack to abundance. When it comes to creating the life you want, rewiring your beliefs, and aligning them with your desires, gratitude works as a catalyst. It’s experiencing the joy of manifestation before it happens, which in turn attracts the very reality you’ve already begun to feel grateful for. Let us explore the missing key to abundance: Gratitude. How Gratitude Turns Desire Into RealityMost people forget how rich they truly are and the things around them thats already there. If you have:
you are richer than 70% of the population. Having desires, goals, and dreams that's not realised, doesn’t mean you aren’t living a good life. It all comes down to perspective. Do you see life through a lens of gratitude or lack? When it comes to manifesting the life you truly desire, gratitude can be a game changer. "All you can possibly need or desire is already yours... Call your desires into being by imagining and feeling your wish fulfilled." - Neville Goddard I used to struggle with this. I knew the end goal and got specific about what I wanted, but I couldn’t recreate the feeling. Commanding a feeling can be hard. That’s why gratitude is such a powerful bridge, it shifts you from lack to fulfillment. If you truly achieved the wish you desire, you would feel grateful. By appreciating what you already have, you start to feel grateful and it becomes a bridge to the feeling of your desire being a present fact. Scarcity thinking keeps you stuck, emotionally drained, and disconnected from the life you want. It traps you in a cycle of lack, making it harder to align with the feeling of already having your desires. But if you’ve read this far, I walk with you on the bridge of gratitude and show you how this simple practice can shift your perspective, redirect your focus, and break the scarcity loop. Gratitude Breaks the Scarcity Loop“When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears.” Tony Robbins At this point, you’ve likely reflected on moments in your life where gratitude wasn’t your focus. Statements like:
I know how much stress and fear these thoughts create, I’ve been there. A daily practice of gratitude doesn’t just connect you to abundance but it also replaces fear with peace. There’s a difference between:
Gratitude doesn’t ignore challenges, but it shifts your mindset so you can approach life with more positivity and abundance. “Flow is being completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follow inevitably from the previous one, like playing jazz.” – Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi Gratitude helps you tap into the flow of life, letting go of resistance and scarcity, and allowing solutions and opportunities to appear with greater ease. When you view life through the lens of scarcity, everything becomes blurry, and your emotions mirror that, keeping you stuck on what’s missing rather than appreciating what’s already there. But gratitude shifts that lens, offering clarity and alignment with abundance. For the past few years, I’ve been practicing gratitude as part of my morning routine. The difference it has made in my life is one of the reasons you’re reading this text today. I used to wake up feeling empty, worrying about unpaid bills, comparing myself to others, and feeling like I wasn’t where I should be in life. My mind would race with thoughts of “not enough,” leaving me drained before the day eve But when I started practicing, everything shifted. I began tapping into a state of peace, calm, and happiness. I started noticing how much I actually had in my life instead of focusing on what I didn’t. For example, I used to feel bad about not having a car. Then I realized I had a nice e-scooter that took me everywhere in the city. Before that, I only had a bicycle, and even then, it got me where I needed to go. I worried about not having enough money for travel, buying things, or doing more. But I realized I had enough to live well. My bills were paid, I could enjoy small activities, and I felt secure. Before that, I didn’t even have enough to get through the month and often had to borrow. I used to stress about not having a perfect life, but then I noticed where I lived: a five-minute walk from the ocean, in a country with sunshine most of the year. I thought back to when I lived in a place with constant rain, darkness, and cold, and I realized how far I had come. I began to see how truly rich I was. My health, having food and clean water every day, feeling warmth as I slept, the ability to walk, and the peace I had in my daily life. These simple recognitions made me feel abundant, joyful, and grateful. This shift didn’t just make me happier, it transformed how I approached life. A simple five-minute gratitude practice each morning rewired my perspective completely. By practicing gratitude, you access the joy of already having, which naturally attracts the outcomes you’re seeking. This alignment bridges the gap between where you are and where you want to be, transforming not only how you feel but also how you manifest your desires. Now, let’s explore how gratitude creates emotional alignment and amplifies the power of your affirmations. Gratitude: The Manifestation AcceleratorGratitude is like a magnet; the more grateful you are, the more you will receive to be grateful for. - Iyanla Vanzant. Imagine this: You’ve desired your dream car for a long time, and somehow, you finally have it. You hold the keys. Everything is perfect. Now stop and ask yourself: How would you feel? Happy? Secure? Grateful? Gratitude is the one common feeling we all experience when our dreams come true. "Thank you!" we say over and over, like kids on Christmas morning. When you are grateful in this present moment, not only for the things you already have but also for the things you desire, feeling them as a present fact, you reverse-engineer the process of attracting what you want into your life. Gratitude becomes like a magnet. By saying thank you in advance for the things you desire, as if they’ve already happened, you align yourself with the state of fulfillment. This state naturally manifests circumstances that confirm it, circumstances where you not only have what you desire but where your reality begins to reflect the abundance you feel within. When you carry a grateful heart every day, you’ll not only feel better but also naturally attract people, opportunities, and experiences that align with your abundant state. But how exactly does gratitude amplify your affirmations? If you recall from the two previous newsletters, we explored the power of affirmations, rewriting beliefs, and persisting in a state of fulfillment through a mental diet. Gratitude is the missing ingredient that elevates this process to a whole new level. Let’s explore how gratitude, when practiced consistently, can become a core part of your mental diet, redirecting your focus and rewiring your mindset for long-term transformation. Gratitude as a Daily Mental Diet PracticeImagine waking up tomorrow and feeling lighter, happier, and more aligned with the life you desire. This is the power of gratitude. Let’s explore how to make it a consistent part of your daily mental diet. 1) Start your day with GratitudeBefore diving into your day, set aside at least 5 minutes to practice gratitude. This small habit can shift your mindset and set the tone for everything that follows. You can write it down, listen to affirmations, or simply reflect on it in your mind. Ask yourself: What am I truly grateful for right now? If you focus your full attention, you’ll discover a lot of things to appreciate, and you’ll feel your state start to shift. You can also express gratitude for the things you desire as if they’re already here. This blends gratitude with the power of manifestation. For example:
Or, for the things you desire:
By starting your day with gratitude, you align yourself with abundance and step into the day with clarity, peace, and optimism. 2) Use Gratitude to Tap Into FulfillmentInclude gratitude into your affirmation practice. Before you affirm, pause and deeply feel grateful for the things you already have. This shift puts you in a state abundance and helps you embody a state of fulfillment, making it easier to align with the reality of your desires. It’s like the bridge we spoke about earlier: gratitude connects where you are now with where you want to be. By appreciating the present and thankful for what you already have (and what’s on its way), you create a powerful emotional resonance. For example:
This simple addition to your affirmation routine amplifies its power. I like to either go through it quickly in my head or listen to affirmations for a few minutes, depending on the moment, to prepare myself for shifting into the desired state. Over time, this practice becomes more natural, you begin to recognize gratitude as a whole, feeling it deeply in your heart for what you have and then extending it toward your desires, effortlessly tapping into fulfillment. 3) Integrate Gratitude into a 60-Day Mental DietIf you’re following the 60-day mental diet through The Reality Shift Framework that was included in the two previous newsletters, make gratitude a core part of that practice. I’ve created a Gratitude Section inside the template, which includes:
Access the The Reality Shift Framework Here. Remember, every moment of gratitude is a step toward the life you desire. It bridges the gap between where you are and where you want to be, aligning your emotions, beliefs, and actions with abundance and fulfillment. Take a moment right now to pause and think of three things you’re grateful for. Start small, feel deeply, and carry this energy with you. Thank you for being here, for showing up, and for taking this step toward your best life. The journey continues, one moment of gratitude at a time. Until next time, |
